Geometric modeling of steam cleaning material flows in a vacuum

The process of vacuum arc deposition is widely used for applying decorative and wear-resistant coatings. The quality of the sputtered material layer is defined relative number and size of droplets that make up the surface. The process of evaporation necessarily accompanied by the ejection of droplets large enough condition in which the flight goes from a liquid to a solid.

One of the methods to combat large drops of condensate is the use of electromagnetic and mechanical filters that block the path of particulate flow and transport of plasma. One important problem that needs to be addressed in geometric modeling filter surface plasma is performed quantitative assessment of his lingering (reflective) properties. As the number of parameters may make reflections and reflection direction at a time when leaves particulates filter.

Objective: to create a theoretical, algorithmic framework and software for geometric modeling process steam cleaning material flows. Work carried out in cooperation with the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Electric.

Simulation of temperature field sotopanelnyh structures with heat pipes

The department APEPS in collaboration with the laboratory of the Department of heat pipes NPP and ITF NTU "KPI" Design of software for calculation of temperature field and heat pipes sotopanelnyh structures with heat pipes.

Sotopanelni designs used for the manufacture of shells spacecraft heat pipes provide cooling.

When designing structures to determine its optimal parameters there is need for mathematical modeling of temperature field sotopaneli. The basis of the mathematical model is non-stationary heat equation. Also under development information structures algorithms for parallel simulation on multicore systems and clusters.

Geometric modeling of objects based on nonlinear transformations

Subject area is the theory of deformation of objects under the influence of any factors.

Research findings are used if necessary to obtain the mathematical model of the object after changing the geometry. For example, the study of dynamics of the edge of burnout during the forest fire in predicting changes in the shape of clouds, weather forecasting is at a certain time, when monitoring the change in shape after the oil spill environmental disaster, and so on.
