Dual Diploma Programs

Students - Study Abroad - Dual Diploma Programs - Technical University of Dresden (Germany)

Within the framework of the European Master's program Distributed Systems Engineering, Igor Sikorsky KPI (APEPS department(TEF), ITN department(ITS))and the Technical University of Dresden offer a unified international program "Engineering of Distributed Systems".

Students of Igor Sikorsky KPI have an opportunity to study according to the programs of the Master's Degree in Igor Sikorsky KPI in conjunction with the Master’s program of the Technical University of Dresden for the second higher education.

Requirements for students:

• Bachelor Diploma of Igor Sikorsky KPI

• recommendation of the department for passing the curriculum of the Master’s program

• fluency in English (certificate IELTS 6.0, TOEFL 550 points or certificate issued by the Department of Foreign Languages of Igor Sikorsky KPI)

• basic German language skills

• participation in scientific work and scientific projects

• successfully passed the general entrance exams to the two-year Master's program "Distributed Systems Engineering"

Students are selected by a joint commission of Igor Sikorsky KPI and Technical University of Dresden

 

Studying on the program is conducted on a contractual basis: at own expense, or at the expense of scholarships. Depending on the success and activity in studying and research, students have the opportunity to receive scholarships as financial support for participation in the program. The number of scholarships is limited.

Approximate term of studies is 2 years. The first year students study at Igor Sikorsky KPI, the second year - at the Technical University of Dresden. The student has two scientific supervisors: from Igor Sikorsky KPI and Technical University of Dresden. Master's work is defended in both universities.

In each of the partner universities, students undergo training in accordance with local training and examination regulations. While studying at the Technical University of Dresden, the student continues his studies under the Individual Plan of Igor Sikorsky KPI (3-4 semester).
